WHO ARE YOUR PET(S), AND WHAT ARE THEIR PERSONALITIES?
My furry guy is Jace, a Siberian Husky rescue. He joined the family when he was 10 months old in the Spring of 2022. He energetically displays his ancestry through his outgoing, independent, and mischievous personality. This friendly and talkative guy makes new pals everywhere we go! A real social butterfly. Jace also prefers his water frozen, not stirred…and in true husky fashion, loves kick sledding in the winter!
WHEN DID YOUR LOVE OF DOGS BEGIN?
As far back as I could remember! Growing up, my family always had four legged companions. One of our family dog’s, Boots, was my best friend. I helped raise her from a puppy when I was 11; she slept in my bed and even helped me train for my running competitions.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PART ABOUT WORKING WITH DOGS?
My favourite part about working with dogs is their unconditional love, loyalty, and getting to know their unique personalities. I also love their intelligence. I get great joy out of training them and watching them learn, grow, and explore their environment.
WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO WORK WITH DOGS?
I love dogs! All breeds, shapes, and sizes. I love the opportunity to be able to provide a positive, safe, enriching, and fulfilling experience for them. And snuggles are a bonus!
DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE BREED?
I love all dogs! I’ve always gravitated towards medium to large sized working dog breeds; their personalities and intelligence are my favourite. I’ve always had a soft spot for huskies since I was a kid!
WHAT ANIMAL DO YOU IDENTIFY MOST WITH?
Probably a wolf! They are ambitious, courageous, loyal, and team players. And no surprise I ended up with one of the dog breeds closest to them!
